SHIPPING & PAYMENT

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

  • CDEK Global — primary shipping methods.

Cost: calculated individually, starting from 3,100 RUB. The exact amount depends on the destination country and weight (a 70×100 cm canvas in a tube weighs approx. 2 kg).

  • Delivery times: 2–5 business days for CDEK processing + 10–14 days for EAEU countries / 20–25 days for other international destinations. Total estimated delivery: 12 to 30 business days.

  • Insurance — mandatory for all international shipments; included in the shipping cost.

  • Customs: artworks qualify for simplified customs clearance, but the recipient may be responsible for paying local taxes or duties (e.g., VAT in the EU, import duties in the USA for orders exceeding $800).

Destinations: CIS countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, etc.), Europe, USA, Canada, UAE, Turkey, Serbia — essentially all countries serviced by CDEK.

PAYMENT METHODS:

Bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, Mir) — via Prodamus payment gateway on the website.

SBP (Faster Payments System) — available for customers within Russia.

For international buyers: Visa/Mastercard payments are processed through Prodamus. Charges are made in rubles and automatically converted by your bank at the current exchange rate.

Receipt: an official receipt is automatically generated via the “My Tax” app (Federal Tax Service of Russia) and sent to your email immediately after payment.

ORDER PROCESS:

Submit the request.
Fill in the form at the bottom of the page: your name, country,
city, email, and WhatsApp number. Tell me which painting you like.
I calculate the shipping cost.
Within 24 hours I calculate the exact shipping cost via CDEK Global
and send you several options by delivery time and price.
You pay for the painting + shipping in a single payment.
I send you a secure payment link via Prodamus. Packaging in a
protective tube is on me. You pay only for the painting and shipping.
After payment, please send me in WhatsApp:
— recipient's full name in Latin characters
— full delivery address in Latin characters (country, city,
postal code, street, building, apartment)
— recipient's phone number with country code
— recipient's email
— copy of the recipient's passport (required for some countries)
I pack and ship.
Within 3 business days after payment I issue the expert certificate
(1–2 business days in Moscow), remove the canvas from the stretcher,
and pack it in a protective tube. Then I call a CDEK manager and
submit the international shipment request. CDEK approval takes
2–5 business days. After approval I hand the package to CDEK and
send you a tracking number.
Total time from payment to dispatch: 10–12 business days.
You re-stretch the canvas at a local framing workshop.
Every city has framing workshops. Find one via Google:
"framing workshop [your city]" or "baguette workshop [your city]".
The workshop will stretch the canvas onto a stretcher frame in
3–7 days for 50–100 EUR / USD, or the equivalent in your local
currency.

TIMELINES:

  • Order processing: up to 24 hours.
  • Packing: 1–2 business days (the painting is removed from its stretcher, rolled, and packed in a protective tube).

  • International delivery: 12–30 business days (2-5 days for CDEK processing + 10-14 days to EAEU / 20–25 days worldwide).

PACKAGING STANDARDS:

1) Protective barrier. The first layer is specialized glassine paper
(or acid-free tissue). It separates the painted surface from the packaging
materials and prevents sticking, imprints, or damage to the paint layer.

2) Cushioning. The rolled canvas is wrapped in several layers of bubble
wrap. This layer absorbs shocks and vibrations during transit.

3) Rigid protective tube. The wrapped painting is inserted into a hard
cardboard tube with an internal diameter larger than the painting's
short side. Both ends are sealed with plastic caps. The tube is rigid
enough to prevent bending, crushing, or moisture damage during
international shipping.

Why I ship in a tube, not in a frame: framed paintings exceed CDEK
international size limits (120 × 80 × 100 cm), and frame shipments are
subject to additional CDEK approval that may be refused. The tube keeps
the painting safe and is cheaper to ship. You can have the canvas
re-stretched onto a stretcher frame at any local framing workshop in
your country.

  • Customs declaration (CN22 / CN23)
  • Commercial invoice
  • Expert certificate confirming that the artwork is not a cultural property of the Russian Federation (issued by an accredited expert of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, 1–2 business days)

  • EAEU countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) — no duties.
  • CIS countries (Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc.) — usually no duties.
  • EU, USA, Canada — buyer pays upon receipt (typically 0–25% of the declared value).

The recipient is responsible for any import duties and local taxes in the destination country.

FAQ

  • Q:
Will the painting be damaged when rolled into a tube?
    A:
No. Acrylic paint is flexible and does not crack when rolled. I roll the canvas paint-side-out around an inner cardboard tube (smaller in diameter than the outer protective tube) — this is the standard practice used by galleries and auction houses such as Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams.
  • Q:
How much does it cost to have the canvas re-stretched locally?
    A:
On average 50–100 EUR / USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). The cost depends on the city and workshop.
  • Q:
    What are the delivery times?
    A:
Delivery time is counted from the moment CDEK approves the shipment (2–5 business days). EAEU countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan): 10–14 business days to your city. Other countries (Europe, USA, Asia, Africa, Middle East): 20–25 business days to your city. Total estimated delivery from payment: 2-5 weeks for EAEU countries, 3-5 weeks for other international destinations.
  • Q:
Why does CDEK approval take 2–5 business days?
    A:
Since 2026, CDEK accepts international shipments from individuals only by application through a manager. I call the manager, provide package details and recipient address, attach the documents, and wait for approval (2–5 business days). This is a CDEK rule for all international shipments regardless of size. The process cannot be accelerated.
